SUPPORT THE CHILDREN

How parents can help

Library books are checked out for one week at a time.  Children need to return their library books at their next library class time. Please help your child remember to put the library book in their backpack and return it to school.  Help them find a safe place to keep books when they are not reading away from pets and babies. We have discussed responsibility and book care with all of the students.  Please help  your child follow through and grow to become more responsible.

Read to your child

Reading to your child and sitting down to listen to them read through the early years of reading development is so important.

The vocabulary that is gained from this time together helps.  They become more fluent and understand more from the written page. The time you spend reading with your child will help him or her grow into a strong reader.
